Andy Cohen's Hamptons home is a beach lover's dream!
The TV host, 58, opened the doors to his stunning abode overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in a video tour with Architectural Digest. Cohen — who is dad to son Benjamin, 7, and daughter Lucy, 4 — says the property is a tranquil escape that he loves to enjoy with his children.
“The ocean is super important to me. I like to start the day by jumping in the ocean. I like to end the day by jumping in the ocean. The ocean is my absolute therapy,” he explains in the video.
Aside from the sea, Cohen says he spends a lot of time in his jacuzzi. It's situated on a spacious deck — which his son calls the “cajuzzi deck” — perfect for indoor-outdoor living with a comfy seating area, TV, fireplace and a walkway leading directly to the beach.
“That jacuzzi gets so much use, and one of the great things about the design of this house is that it really is built as a beach house,” he adds of the space, highlighting the floor's strategic design so sand never piles up, and the spiral staircase that leads up to his primary suite's outdoor shower.
He notes that because the home is such a serene destination for him, he never wants to let it go. In fact, he's already brainstorming changes he'll make to it when he's an “old man.”
“Because I plan to have this house for the rest of my life, when I am no longer able to walk up the stairs, I plan to turn that spiral staircase into a tubular-shaped elevator. That's how old man me is gonna get up and down these stairs. I've thought about it,” he jokes.
Another place in his abode that he “loves” is his primary bedroom, which is decked out in blue and boasts another cozy fireplace. It also features floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors that offer unobstructed ocean views.

Cohen adds that after purchasing the land in 2019, his main goal when building the home — which he moved into “three and a half years later” — was to have breathtaking water views and embrace the setting's beachy surroundings.
“My big specification to my great architect, Gordon Kahn, was that I wanted the house to be fully indoor-outdoor, and I wanted to be able to see the ocean from as many vantage points as possible, and I also wanted to hear it,” he explains.

His vision was executed perfectly, as he's able to cool off with outdoor showers throughout the summer, and at night, he likes to have the sliding doors fully open so it feels like “sleeping under the stars with the sound of the waves.”
“I love my room,” he continues, before highlighting another spot that his son has helped to make a special place. “Next to my bed is where I keep all my love notes from Ben, and he writes so many. I'm especially proud of this one, ‘For being the best daddy ever, I love you so much.'”

Another outdoor space Cohen always spends time in is on his roof, which he refers to as “the spot.”
“When I have dinner parties, we start with cocktails up here because the sunsets are absolutely magical,” he says, before reflecting on why his beach home means so much to him.
“You know, I grew up in the Midwest, I always aspired to go to the beach,” he shares. “So the fact that my kids get to grow up with access to the ocean is just, for me, a fantasy, and I hope it is for them too."
