Forget bending the knee—Bella Ramsey is bending the rules of fashion.

The Game of Thrones alum stepped out on the red carpet Aug. 6 in quite the unconventional look, rocking a gray cashmere bib cardigan by Miu Miu to the London premiere of Sunny Dancer.

While the top—which Ramsey paired with navy blue trousers and chunky, brown leather shoes from the Italian fashion house—originally featured cutouts on the side, the-22-year-old's stylist Fabio Immediato had it custom made with additional blue ribbon ties and a matching dickey resembling a button-up shirt.

But this likely won't be the last time Ramsey will add a personal touch to their outfit. After all, the Last of Us star prefers pieces that "feel emotionally comfortable more so than physically comfortable."

"I've kind of been gravitating towards suits so far," Ramsey shared in a 2023 interview with British Vogue, quipping, "I would look terrible in a dress."

But it did take time for Ramsey to find a happy medium between comfort and what's red carpet appropriate. As the actor explained with a laugh, "If it were up to me, I would probably rock up at every event in a hoodie and the mucky trainers that I wear at home, but I realize that’s not exactly acceptable."

“I get a lot of my clothes on Depop—I really advocate buying second-hand—and my style essential is probably a pair of calf-length white socks from Nike," they continued. "But I do have to make sure that I feel like myself on the red carpet."

And that’s because Ramsey—who made their acting debut at age 11 as Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones—hasn't always been pleased with the outfit choices that others have made for them.

"When I was initially doing photoshoots and stuff, I've often had to put things on that I haven't felt comfortable in,” they told British GQ in 2023, “and wouldn't ever wear."
