Everything’s going wrong for the second group of charter guests on Below Deck Down Under. Their complaints are understandably mounting. So, Captain Jason Chambers is stepping in to lend a hand next week. After all, teamwork makes the dream work, as seen in the sneak peek preview for Episode 5.
The BDDU Season 4 galley is descending into chaos
Chef Ben Robinson has returned, but he’s also on his second sous chef of the season. Originally, Alesia Harris filled this slot. But as she quickly realized, she was in over her head, so she talked her way into a spot in the interior department instead.
During Episode 3, Ben’s new assistant arrived. It was Elena “Ellie” Dubaich. Their camaraderie in the galley is definitely strong. However, it’s so strong that it’s starting to affect Ben’s timing.
Making matters worse, their current charter guests can’t catch a break. First, the BDDU crew failed to meet them on the pier. Then, their meals started running late. Meanwhile, one guest almost got lost at sea, while another is in the sand, trying to talk her body down from an overheating ordeal.
It’s been a hot mess. So, Captain Jason’s about to intervene, as the sneak peek for Season 4 Episode 5 shows. “The galley has timing issues,” Captain Jason states in his confessional. So, “I need to step in here,” he adds.

We then see Captain Jason in the galley, helping Ben and Ellie prep lunch for their guests. “Generally, a captain will not help me with a meal,” Ben suggests in his talking head. But now that one is, “It’s slightly embarrassing,” Ben admits.
Once their sandwiches are ready, Captain Jason hurries to the tender, cheerleading Ben to “throw” their sandwiches in. Ben does as told, and off Captain Jason races to the beach, trying to save one more mishap for their rather unfortunate charter guests.
Below Deck Down Under is streaming on Peacock. BDDU airs on Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.
