Eve Plumb is opening up about the time she and her onscreen brother Christopher Knight explored a potential romantic connection after their series Brady Bunch ended in 1974.
"It was sweet," Plumb recalled of the pair's sole date during a recent interview with Page Six. "It was fun, but we were really already by that time just too good of friends to make that transition into being romantic partners."
The 67-year-old actress explained that she and Knight, 68, who played middle brother Peter Brady to her middle sister Jan Brady, decided to see where their offscreen friendship could go after playing siblings for five years on the beloved 1970s sitcom. The duo starred on the series alongside Barry Williams, Maureen McCormick, Susan Olsen, and Mike Lookinland as the iconic siblings of the music-loving family.

"Any attempts at making out that evening ended with laughter and resignation that we'd always be sister and brother, even in real life," Plumb went on to write in an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond, obtained by the outlet.
While becoming a power couple wasn't in the cards for the duo, they've remained close throughout the years. Plumb married business and technology consultant Ken Pace in 1995, and Knight wed businesswoman Cara Kokenes in 2016. Plumb revealed that she and Knight even have monthly Zoom calls alongside their spouses. The calls began during the COVID-19 pandemic and have continued in the years since.
"We've stayed friends to this day," Plumb said to Page Six, noting that she and Knight are "due for" one of their calls.

Plumb and Knight weren't the only Brady siblings that tested their bond off screen. Williams and McCormick, who played step-siblings Greg and Marcia Brady, respectively, famously had an on-and-off romantic relationship.
Williams reflected on the various pairings-off during a during a January episode of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! Australia. "We were the only people we knew and liked and cared about," the actor reasoned of the cast hookups. "I mean, Marcia was the hottest girl on television at the time, and she was cute as can be. We dated."

"So, I dated Marcia Brady — Maureen McCormick — on and off for different times. And we had a great time together," he continued in his confessional. "And the rest of the kids all got together, either dating or being very friendly. Bobby and Cindy, the two youngest, Peter and Jan, the two middle kids, and then Greg and Marcia."
Williams explained that the cast of teens were together as a television family more than they were with their own families for parts of the year, which led to a closeness that they couldn't replicate with others outside of their costars. He likened it to dating reality series Love Island, which sees a group of contestants, referred to as Islanders, living in isolation from the outside world in a villa, as they couple up with one another over several weeks. The overall winning couple receives $100,000.
"You start chatting and suddenly, things are happening," the actor quipped.
Plumb’s memoir, Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond, releases on April 28.
