Bunnie Xo has opened up about how Jelly Roll's daughter Bailee is dealing with the news of her dad and stepmom's split.
"Of course she's mad at me," she said.
Bunnie and Jelly Roll were granted full custody of Bailee when she was eight.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll were heading for divorce. Now, Bunnie has opened up about how Jelly Roll's daughter, her adopted daughter, Bailee, 18, reacted to the news.
"I don't ever like to speak for Bailee. You guys know that. … Before this podcast, I text her and I say, 'Hey, I'm doing a podcast. Is there anything you want me to defend you about or anything like that?'" Bunnie said on the June 18, episode of her "Dumb Blonde" podcast. "And her big thing is—and I get this—is we need more empathy in this world and people need to stop treating us the way that they're treating us. Because we are human. And she's like, 'I get that we're public figures, but at the same time, you know, stop expecting so much from us because you don't deserve it.'"
"You guys need to remember she's 18. Freshly just turned 18," Bunnie added. "The only woman she has had consistently in her life, she feels, is being taken from her and it's a weird transition that we're gonna have to navigate. Of course she's mad at me, because I was always the f***ing disciplining parent in the relationship because he's f***ing fun dad all the time."

Bunnie went on to explain that she thinks that Bailee is also "mad at her dad because of what he did."
"And hello, she f***ing deserves to feel that way," Bunnie went on. "So she's gonna have emotions. She's gonna unfollow me on f***ing Instagram and then she's gonna text me back the next day and tell me to follow her back. That's just how it is right now."
Bunnie concluded that she would always be there for Bailee despite the emotional ups and downs. "This is what we're dealing with right now and I don't care," she said. "That's my baby. I love her. If she wants to be mad at me for f***ing two years, I'll deal with it. But when she's ready to come back, I will always be there for her."
TMZ first broke the news that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from Bunnie. The papers were filed on May 18 and the date of separation was listed as May 9. Jelly Roll has since removed Bunnie from his social media.

As for Bailee, she has also shared a few thoughts on the separation. On June 16 she wrote on her TikTok Stories, "Oh & one more thing I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter," adding, "It's fkn crazy."
"Go on somewhere yall," she continued. "Worry bout your house- not mine. I'm not speaking on it - yet."
Bunnie and Jelly Roll were granted joint custody of Bailee when she was eight. In a 2023 tribute to Bunny for Mother's Day, Jelly Roll wrote, "It takes a special kind of woman to raise a child that isn't hers."
He added, "[Seven] years later Bailee calls Bunnie Momma with no hesitation, and 7 years later Bunnie still blows my mind everyday with how loving and patient she is with Bailee. Happy Mothers Day Mama Bear. You deserve to be celebrated on this day more than anyone I've ever known. I love you so much!"
Bunnie recently admitted that she had been "blindsided" by the divorce, and explained that it had all happened very quickly. "We're literally settling our divorce in like... We've done it in like, what? Three weeks? Two weeks?" she said.
Bunnie and Jelly Roll are expecting a baby that they now plan to co-parent. "We're going to co-parent together," she said. "J is my best friend. Like, this isn't what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It's literally just we served our purpose for each other."
