Disney’s newest cruise vessel is promising to be an Adventure!

On Wednesday, March 4, the Disney Cruise Line shared a sneak peak inside the company’s first ship based in Asia: the Disney Adventure.

Offering three- and four-night cruises out of the Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore, the fleet’s newest addition promises to combine the company's more than 100 years of storytelling through immersive spaces for children and families, as well as elegant lounges for adults.

On board, the ship offers seven uniquely themed areas based on iconic Disney characters and locations.

The Disney Imagination Garden (top), located at the heart of the ship, is an open-air courtyard centered around a prominent Garden Stage. There, guests will enjoy large-scale performances, character meet-and-greets, and celebratory events throughout each voyage.

The nearby quick-service restaurants, Gramma Tala’s Kitchen and Mowgli’s Eatery, will offer a blend of Pacific and Indian inspired cuisine.

In the Town Square, guests will enter a world filled with Disney Princess characters. This central gathering place will offer themed dining and cafes as well as unique shops and the iconic Walt Disney Theater. Feast at the Enchanted Summer Restaurant or experience a royal makeover at the ship's version of the iconic Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

The vibrance of Tokyo and the charm of San Francisco will come together on San Fransokyo Street, which is inspired by Disney’s Big Hero 6. There, guests will find even more entertainment and shopping experiences, including the Baymax Cinemas, the Alley Cat Café, the Duffy and Friends Shop, and the National Geographic Store.

On the upper deck, Marvel’s famous superheroes will come to life at Marvel Landing. The area will house three thrilling attractions like the Ironcycle Test Run — the longest rollercoaster at sea — Pym Quantum Racers and Groot Galaxy Spin.

Head on over to the other side of the ship to find Toy Story Place, a dedicated water park area featuring the playful world of Pixar’s Toy Story films. Take a dip in the Sunnyside Family Pool or seek out more thrills on Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides. When it’s time to refuel, grab a quick bite from Pizza Planet or soft-serve ice cream at Wheezy’s Freezies.

At the stern, the Moana-themed Wayfinder Bay will offer another relaxing outdoor oasis with a pool and sweeping ocean views. There, crews will host a variety of live entertainment and events, like the Moana: Call of the Sea live show.

Last, but certainly not least, the Disney Discovery Reef (below) will transport guests “Under the Sea” into the worlds of The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, Luca and more. Two of the ships fine dining restaurants, Palo Trattoria and Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia, are located in the land as well as Taverna Portorosso, a sports bar inspired by the coastal Italian village in Luca.

On March 4, Disney held a grand celebration officially welcoming the Adventure to the fleet. At the Walt Disney Theater, the vessel's godparent and Iron Man star, Robert Downey Jr., christened the ship in grand maritime tradition.

“I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the team at Walt Disney Imagineering, and I can tell you Adventure is the perfect name for what they’ve created,” he said, per Disney Parks Blogs. “Being the godparent of this majestic vessel is an honor.”
