Donald Trump planted a kiss on his eldest son Donald Trump Jr.’s cheek, as the family prepared to depart after attending the final day of the Irish Open on Sunday.
While Trump made sure to focus on politics during his 48-hour trip to Ireland over the weekend, meeting with leaders such as Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin and Irish President Catherine Connolly in Dublin, he also spent precious time with his son and grandchildren.
Trump Jr., 48, his wife, Bettina Anderson, 39, and three of his children, Donald Trump III, Spencer Frederick Trump, and Chloe Trump, were seen at the president’s side when greeting Irish leaders at the arrival ceremony in Dublin and at the Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links. It comes after Natalie Harp gave Don Trump Jr a slap on the back at Freedom 250 track.

It has been a family-filled week for the president, as Trump Jr. also joined his father at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Texas, earlier in the week. He delivered a speech on the second night of the event, during which he honored his late friend, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, on the one-year anniversary of his death, and also criticized the "radical left.”
Trump Jr. continued the family festivities as he joined the president in Ireland on his short trip, which included a stop at the Trump golf resort in Doonbeg, Ireland.
In tow, the eldest Trump son brought his wife, whom he married in May 2026 in the Bahamas, and three of his children. Trump Jr. shares five children with his ex-wife Vanessa Trump, including daughters Kai and Chloe and sons Donald III, Tristan, and Spencer.

Trump Jr.’s eldest daughter, Kai, 19, was missing from the family trip to Ireland. She runs a popular YouTube channel where she vlogs her life, and she recently started her first year at the University of Miami on the women’s golf team. Tristan Trump, 14, also wasn’t seen on the Ireland trip.
During Trump’s address at the U.S. ambassador’s residence in Dublin, he said, “Don’s here with a whole group — whole group of family. And he just got married; he’s happily married, which is nice.”
“He’s calmed down so much. That’s like a good sign. He’s like a different human being,” the president continued. "He had a lot of energy. Now he has a little less energy. That's a good thing."
Trump notably couldn’t attend Trump Jr.’s wedding over the summer due to the ongoing war in Iran.

“This is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things. That’s one I can’t win on,” Trump said at the time, before suggesting he would be attacked by the media for his RSVP decision. “If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed by the fake news.”
“Hopefully they’re going to have a great marriage,” Trump said.
It appeared the president and his eldest son made up for lost time over the past week, as they spent time together on the rare family trip. Eric Trump was also spotted with the rest of the Trump family at the Irish Open over the weekend.
They seemed to be in good spirits as they departed one another on Sunday, with Trump kissing his son on the cheek to say goodbye.
