Five people were seriously injured after a high-speed police chase ended in a car crash.
The accident took place after officers followed a suspected stolen vehicle that refused to stop in Ilford, east London, during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Emergency services were summoned after what appeared to be a series of collisions at the junction of Barley Lane and High Road.
CCTV captured the moment the speeding vehicle was pursued by police rapid response vehicles shortly after 12.30am, and footage from the scene shows several cars had been hit, with debris strewn across the carriageway.
A total of nine people were injured, with six taken to hospital for treatment. Five, aged between 14 and 46, remain in hospital with serious injuries. All five were arrested.
