17 years ago, Giorgio Armani brought shiny metallics, fresh takes on monochrome, pristine tailoring, and a whole lot of intricate beading and crystal embellishments to Paris for his Spring/Summer 2009 Privé couture show. With a score of 1940s movie soundtracks filling the air, models walked the runway in looks that felt both nostalgic and entirely modern all at once. And that’s still how the styles felt over a decade-and-a-half later, when Hailey Bieber stepped out in a little silver dress from the line.

Last night, the Rhode founder attended the 2026 WWD Style Awards in Santa Monica, California in one of her best looks to date: a sparkling silver midi dress adorned with detailed beading. The Armani Privé piece—which felt like a touching tribute to the late designer—contoured the body through seam lines and embellishments, tracing Bieber from the sculptural straps down to the mermaid hem. Throughout, rectangular sequins cascaded down the form to create an ombré effect, with darker pieces arranged in overlapping patterns at the top and lighter, squiggly variants trickling down the skirt.

She matched the dress with silver jewelry, grounded the glitters with black peep-toe heels, and walked the red carpet with celebrity stylist Andrew Mukamal—best known for his work recreating Barbie’s historic looks for Margot Robbie on the Barbie press tour in 2023. Bieber, who has shaped her model-off-duty moments and head-turning red-carpet looks with the likes of Mukamal and Dani Michelle, was honored with the Style Trailblazer award at the event.
