The Masters Champions Dinner is a tradition where past winners gather to enjoy a menu chosen by the reigning champion

Menus often reflect the champion's heritage, favorite dishes or personal experiences

Recent menus have included Rory McIlroy’s Irish-inspired dishes, Scottie Scheffler’s Texan favorites and Jon Rahm’s Basque specialties

One of the best-loved traditions of the Masters Tournament, hosted each year at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., is the Champions Dinner.

Each year on the Tuesday of Masters week, the reigning champion hosts a dinner for all previous champions, with many of golf’s biggest names attending the event. Some winners select a menu full of childhood favorites, while others choose classic dishes that represent their country.

Most recently, Rory McIlroy won the Masters in 2025. For his Champions Dinner in April 2026, his menu will feature a side of Irish champ, a potato-based comfort food that the Northern Irish golfer ate "by the bowlful" as a child, per the PGA Tour.

Here’s what 10 Masters winners selected for their Champions Dinners over the years.

Rory McIlroy

McIlroy won his first Masters in 2025, completing his golf Grand Slam. For his Champions Dinner in 2026, he took inspiration from his childhood in Northern Ireland, Georgian cuisine and his personal favorite dishes. The menu stemmed “from the heart and from personal experience, and I guess a little bit of nostalgia for me," he said, per PGA Tour.

The dinner begins with a peach-and-ricotta flatbread with hot honey, rock shrimp tempura with a spicy sauce, bacon-wrapped dates with goat cheese and grilled elk sliders with onion jam and aioli. The dates are a nod to his mother, Rosie McIlroy.

“My mum does these really, really nice dates stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon," he told the PGA Tour. "Thanks to Rosie for that one.”

The second course is yellowfin tuna carpaccio with foie gras and chives, served with toasted baguette — a dish similar to one served at he and his wife Erica Stoll’s favorite New York City restaurant, Le Bernardin.

The choice of entree is either wagyu filet mignon or seared salmon alongside traditional Irish champ. Sides include sautéed Brussels sprouts and glazed carrots with brown butter, as well as onion rings made from the Vidalia onions, which are grown in Georgia.

The meal finishes with a sticky toffee pudding alongside vanilla ice cream and warm toffee sauce, which McIlroy called a "crowd-pleaser."

McIlroy also chose the wine, which includes a 2015 Salon Brut champagne, a 2022 Domaine Leflaive Batard Montrachet and a 1990 Chateau Lafite Rothschild the Chateau Lafite Rothschild, which is what he drank when he won the Masters.

"Shane Lowry had a little bit to do with getting that wine, so I want to shout him out for that, too," McIlroy said.

Scottie Scheffler

Two-time Masters champ Scottie Scheffler won in 2022 and 2024. Both of his menus had a lot of similarities as they were inspired by his Texan childhood.

In 2025, his dinner began with cheeseburger sliders, served “Scottie style," as well as firecracker shrimp with sweet Thai chili and sriracha mayo and Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites.

“My dad's meatballs made the menu,” he explained at a press conference. “I think there's a meatball and ravioli type of dish that was always my favorite thing growing up. My dad, his best meal was always meatballs.”

There was then a first course of Texas-style chili with cheddar, jalapeños and corn chips, before a main course choice of either wood-fired cowboy ribeye steak or blackened redfish with family-style mac and cheese, jalapeño creamed corn, soy-glazed Brussels sprouts — rather than fried as they were in 2023 — and chipotle-lime roasted sweet potatoes.

For dessert, he opted for a warm chocolate chip skillet cookie with vanilla bean ice cream — another change from two years prior, when he chose milk-and-cookies-flavored ice cream instead.

Jon Rahm

In 2024, Jon Rahm’s dinner was influenced heavily by his upbringing in the Basque Country of Spain.

Assisted by famed chef José Andrés, Rahm selected six tapas to begin with, including ibericos, idiázabal con trufa negra, tortilla de patatas, chistorra con patata, lentejas estofadas — Mama Rahm’s classic lentil stew — and croqueta de pollo.

The first course featured ensalada de txangurro — a Basque crab salad with potato — before a choice of chuletón a la parilla (Basque ribeye) and rodaballo al pil-pil (turbot with Navarra white asparagus).

“Most people in northern Spain go about as much as medium rare," Rahm said about his steak in a 2024 teleconference, per Golf. "If you go past that, you're going to get a weird look just because that's how we are. Very proud people of what we do, and meat usually is high quality."

For dessert, he opted for milhojas de crema y nata, which is a puff pastry cake with custard and chantilly cream. It was the wedding cake that he and wife Kelley Cahill were served when they got married, he said, adding, “It varies a little bit where you’re doing it in Spain, but it’s absolutely one of my favorites.”

Hideki Matsuyama

For Hideki Matsuyama’s dinner in 2022, the Japanese golfer took influence from his native country.

He began with assorted sushi, sashimi and nigiri to start alongside Yakitori chicken skewers. Main courses included Miyazaki wagyu — "the top brand of Japanese Wagyu steak," per Golf Digest — with mixed mushrooms and vegetables and sansho daikon ponzu, a radish-based sauce.

Dustin Johnson

In 2021, Dustin Johnson started off with pigs in a blanket and lobster-and-corn fritters for his appetizers.

Then, attendees had a choice of garden salad with mixed greens or Caesar salad for their first course, followed by two options for a main course: either prime filet mignon or miso-marinated seabass. Sides — including mashed potato and spring vegetables — were served family-style.

For dessert, diners could select peach cobbler or apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

Tiger Woods

Five-time Masters winner Tiger Woods enjoyed the most recent of his Champions Dinners in 2020, but enjoyed it at home with his family after the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“Masters Champions Dinner quarantine style,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of himself with daughter Sam, son Charlie and then-girlfriend Erica Herman. “Nothing better than being with family.”

Per ESPN, he selected a similar menu to the one he went for in 2006. To start, the group dined on sushi and sashimi before main courses of prime steak and chicken fajitas with grilled vegetables, refried beans, Mexican rice, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole. Then, they finished off the meal with a trio of desserts: classic flan, churros with chocolate sauce and sopapillas. Fourteen years prior, he chose stuffed jalapeño and quesadilla appetizers and apple pie and ice cream for dessert.

Meanwhile, his first dinner in 1998 was very much an all-American affair, with cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, French fries and milkshakes.

In 2002 and 2003, Woods started with sushi before adding in porterhouse steak and chicken for the mains. He also selected crab cakes, asparagus, mashed potato and chocolate truffle cake as appetizer, side and dessert options.

Patrick Reed

2018 winner Patrick Reed joked that he was going to “fatten everybody up” with his Champions Dinner the following year, via Golf Digest. He started with a choice of Caesar salad or wedge salad, followed by prime bone-in cowboy ribeye steak with herb butter or mountain trout.

Also on the menu were macaroni and cheese, corn créme brûlée, creamed spinach and steamed broccoli, with four options for dessert: tiramisu, vanilla bean creme brûlée, chocolate crunch and praline cheesecake.

“Hopefully I can please the 30-something guys that are in the room,” he told reporters at the 2019 Sentry Tournament of Champions. “I mean, putting a piece of meat in front of them I think would do that, right?"

Sergio Garcia

Sergio García opted for a Spanish-themed menu for his dinner in 2018, but began with an international salad featuring an ingredient from each of the 10 countries that had won the Masters at the time: Spain, the U.S., South Africa, England, Germany, Scotland, Wales, Canada, Argentina and Fiji.

His main course was arroz caldoso de bogavante — traditional Spanish lobster rice — while he opted for his wife Angela García’s tres leches cake with tres leches ice cream and foam.

“So excited and honored to host my first Champions Dinner,” he wrote on X. “I hope everyone will enjoy the food. Can’t wait to sit around all those great champions and listen to their stories!”

Danny Willett

Englishman Danny Willett opted for classic British fare for his dinner in 2017, including nods to his Yorkshire roots.

"It’s very much a menu of what I've liked and had growing up,” he explained via Sky Sports. “With the British influence in there massively."

Willett began with mini cottage pies before his take on the British Sunday roast, with prime rib served alongside roast potatoes, vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy.

He finished with apple crumble served with vanilla custard, followed by coffee and Yorkshire tea with English cheese and biscuits.

Jordan Spieth

Dallas-born Jordan Spieth was inspired by his Texan upbringing when he selected his dinner in 2016.

To begin, a local greens salad was on offer, featuring heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, shaved red onion, balsamic vinaigrette and corn muffins.

Then, diners were offered their choice of authentic Texas barbecue, including beef brisket, smoked half chicken and pork ribs alongside BBQ baked beans, bacon and chive potato salad, sautéed spring beans, grilled zucchini and roasted yellow squash.

To finish, the group munched on a warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream.
