Content creator and model Nara Smith said her and fellow model Lucky Blue Smith's 2-year-old daughter Whimsy Lou is battling cancer.
Whimsy Lou was diagnosed with cancer "late last year," Nara Smith said in a July 1 Instagram video. She did not specify what type or stage.
"There is no easy way to say this or to talk about any of this," the 24-year-old woman said.
Nara Smith is known as one of social media's top "trad wife" creators. She has more than 16 million followers across Instagram and TikTok alone. "Trad wife" is term often used to describe social media influencers who share content about homemaking and family caretaking.
She and her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, have four kids together: Rumble Honey, 5, Slim Easy, 4, Whimsy Lou, 2, and Fawnie Golden, 9 months. Lucky also has a daughter, Gravity Blue, from a previous relationship.
"Processing this and navigating all of this as a family has been really hard," Nara Smith said.

After seeing "something suspicious" on Whimsy, Nara Smith said the family took her to the emergency room and eventually her pediatrician.
"I just remember him going really quiet and calm and my heart dropped in that moment," she said. "I don't know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a mom's intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer."

Lucky Blue Smith took Whimsy to the closest children's hospital, where they evaluated the toddler and conducted X-rays, ultrasounds and a biopsy.
"They immediately called us and said that she had cancer, told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately," Nara Smith said.
Nara Smith hopes revealing daughter's cancer helps 'comfort' others
The influencer also said in her video that she decided to open up about Whimsy's diagnosis to help others.
"Throughout all of this I've been on a plethora of forums, social media, also talked to parents and family in the hospital, and all of that combined really brought me a lot of comfort and alleviated the feeling of loneliness for me," she said.
"We wanted to share this to hopefully bring someone else that comfort or even incentivize you to go get something checked out that you've been avoiding," she continued.
She added that it has been "really hard" to navigate her daughter's treatments in tandem with her job.
"Having found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging," she said.
Nara added: "I hope that by sharing this I can bring someone else a little bit of comfort and make you feel less alone in your journey and whatever way that may be."
