Jennifer Garner revealed at a bookstore talk that her ex-husband Ben Affleck liked to listen to Beyoncé's 2008 hit "Halo" while he worked on his 2010 movie The Town

Jennifer Garner is revealing her ex-husband Ben Affleck's surprising taste in music.
On Thursday, Jan. 15, Garner, 53, appeared at the Los Angeles bookstore Diesel, A Bookstore alongside author Laura Dave and Rita Wilson, who costars with Garner in the Apple TV series The Last Thing He Told Me. Dave, the author behind The Last Thing He Told Me, joined the women for a conversation about the book's sequel The First Time I Saw Him. During the talk, Garner noted that author Dave, 48, likes to work while listening to music, much like her famous ex-husband.
"Do you guys do this? Do you listen to a song over and over again?.. I just want to tell you something. I've survived this. I have lived through it," Garner said. "Ben Affleck listens to a song over and over. I had a three-month-old and a three-year-old living in a rental in Cambridge, Massachusetts while he was shooting The Town. And he listened to Beyoncé's 'Halo,' and I would be nursing."

"I love that because the only other person now besides Ben that I've heard that does that was [screenwriter] Tom Stoppard," Dave responded. "And when I heard that, I thought, okay, I'm in some good company."
Affleck and Garner, of course, were married from 2005 until 2015. The former couple share three children: Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 13. 2010's The Town was the second feature film Affleck directed after 2007's Gone Baby Gone. He also starred in the movie as a professional bank robber and native Bostonian whose life grows torn between a burgeoning romance with a bank manager named Claire (Rebecca Hall) after he robs her bank and his friendship with his friends, who believe Claire is a risk to their criminal operations.

Affleck himself has previously discussed his tendency to listen to the same songs while he writes.
“I listen to music when I write and usually I will find a couple of songs that are inspiring to me and I just sort of put them on a loop and then I will write to music," he said in a 2016 interview published on the Golden Globes' website. "And I find that it’s kind of hypnotic and it allows me to concentrate more and it puts me more in the kind of feeling of the scene that I want the story to have. And so I think music is really, really helpful."
