Jennifer Lopez is here to remind us of the power of a little red dress. With her twins off to college, the now-empty nester has been making the most of this new stage of life, celebrating with New York City outing after New York City outing. Last night, she brought her longtime manager, Benny Medina, along for her latest excursion, as the two were seen heading to Mediterranean hotspot Or’esh in the West Village neighborhood for dinner.

For the occasion, Lopez pulled out one of her easy-yet-bold summer looks: a plunging maxi dress in a bright cherry red. The piece was defined by delicate spaghetti straps and a skintight bodice, with built-in bra cups and a basque waist. From there, a long breezy skirt floated to her ankles, with gathers creating a bit of fullness.

The plunging dress was given the going-out treatment thanks to a handful of gold jewelry pieces, including little hoop earrings and several chunky bracelets. And to really keep the spirit of summer alive, the star styled the look with several of the season’s favorites, including a raffia clutch from Saint Laurent (with a tassel charm!) and pointed-toe nude sandals, designed with clear PVC straps and a high stiletto heel.

This is not the first time that J.Lo has embraced this style of dress this season. Just last month, while on vacation in Italy, the artist posted photos in a nude take on the corseted sundress, soaking up some sun, some art, and some good food with her children before they headed off to college.
