Jennifer Lopez is on a mission to make fashion history yet again.

During an appearance on the Wednesday, May 27, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 56-year-old multi-hyphenate recalled discovering a scene from Prime Video's new romance series Off Campus in whichactress Mika Abdalla wore a recreation of her famous plunging Versace dress from the 2000 Grammys.

Lopez says she found out about the viral moment because members of her team called her to tell her that her song "On the Floor," which Abdalla dances to in the scene, was charting for the first time in 15 years.

"I was like, 'What?' It was just out of the blue,'" the Office Romance star recalled.

When host Jimmy Kimmel asked if she still had the jungle-printed dress, Lopez replied, "I have both dresses."

"If anybody remembers, I wore the [original] one to the Grammys [in 2000] and then about five years ago, we did the 20th anniversary, and I have that dress," she continued, referencing her appearance at Versace's spring 2020 fashion show. "[Donatella Versace] made a brand new dress for me. So I have both of them."

"You have to do that every 20 years," Kimmel, 58, joked.

In response, Lopez declared, "I'm gonna make a promise right now. I'm gonna wear it in 20 years." As the audience cheered, she added, "And it's gonna look good. You're not gonna hate it."

In a 2024 interview with Vogue, Lopez said that her then-stylist, Andrea Lieberman, encouraged her not to wear the now-iconic Versace dress to the 2000 Grammys due to other celebrities having been photographed in it months prior.

"It was a dress that other people had worn already. My stylist was like, 'Please don't wear it. Somebody else has worn it.' I was like, 'Well, you bought it, and it looks the best, so I'm going to wear it.' And so I did. And it caused quite a stir," explained Lopez, reflecting on 17 of her biggest fashion moments.

"I think it's always been a collaboration with all the stylists that I've worked with," she continued. "I worked with Andrea Lieberman for many years, and then I worked with Rob [Zangardi] and Mariel [Haenn] up until the present, and it's always been a collaboration."
