John Stamos celebrated Greek Orthodox Easter with a star-studded group that included Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson
Nia Vardalos and Billy Zane also joined the group for the Sunday, April 12 celebration
Wilson said the group is "family"
A special crew of Hollywood stars got together to celebrate Greek Orthodox Easter on Sunday, April 12.
John Stamos shared a photo from the gathering, which saw him alongside Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Nia Vardalos, Michael Chiklis and Billy Zane for the holiday.
In the caption of the post, Stamos, 62, captured the energy of the celebration, which he said was "loud, warm, a little wild."
"It’s our heritage in real time," he wrote. "Plates overflowing, hugs that last too long, stories that get better every year."
The celebration also got musical — with both Stamos and Hanks, 69, getting in on the fun. "And then the music starts… lush, soulful, a little messy in the best way. @tomhanks leading that 'Christos Anesti' blues like a sermon, Chicky baby @michaelchiklis on vocals bringing the fire, and me on skins just trying to hold it all together," Stamos wrote. "@jimgianopulos and blues guitar!"

Wilson, 69, wrote in the post's comments section: "We are family. ☦️💐🧿🇬🇷."
My Big Fat Greek Wedding star Vardolos, 63, also shared the group picture on her Instagram, writing, "Happy Greekster ! 🐣 🐰 🇬🇷."
Wilson, meanwhile, posted a photo from inside Mass. "Χριστός Ανέστη to all Orthodox Christians on Easter!" she wrote in the caption.
Stamos is no stranger to starry Easter celebrations. Last year, he spent the holiday with Maria Menounos, Melina Kanakaredes and more.
The trio pulled a prank on Chiklis, as they approached him from behind with red eggs in their hands. Stamos, Menounos and Kanakaredes then simultaneously smashed the eggs on an unsuspecting Chiklis' head.
"Oh!" Chiklis, 62, said at the prank, and the group burst into laughter and planted a kiss on his head in a sweet apology.
"Beware of Greeks! Sneak attack on @michaelchiklis by me @johnstamos @therealmelinak," Menounos, 47, captioned the video at the time. "And great camera work @autumnchiklis!"
