Karol G Opens Up About Ex Who 'Didn't Like to Celebrate Their Birthday with Me' in Confessional at Rosalía Show

Karol G didn't hold back during Rosalía's Lux Tour confessional.
During the Spanish singer's show on Monday, June 29, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif., Rosalía surprised the crowd with the Colombian star as a special guest for her confessional segment.
In the segment, Rosalía, 33, brings celebrities on stage to speak candidly — mimicking the practice in Catholicism — before she sings her song "La Perla" about a toxic ex.
When Karol, 35, sat down for the confessional, she said in Spanish she was "in a relationship where that person didn't like to celebrate their birthday with me," according to a video shared by a fan on TikTok.
In shock, Rosalía responded, "How strange... who doesn't like to celebrate their birthday with their partner?"
"But the most curious part was waiting for the excuse for the following year — and the next and the next — as to why they couldn't make it to the birthday," Karol continued. "I've become an expert at this by now, so I can give you some tips."
Then, Karol said that she and her ex only celebrated one of four birthdays together. On the fourth, she said, they had a trip planned and he backed out when she was at her gate for the flight.

"Tonight we are going to celebrate more — and better — than any birthday because you [got rid of] that perla," Rosalía concluded, before singing "La Perla."
While Karol didn't drop any names, she was last linked to Colombian reggaeton artist Feid, with whom she first sparked dating rumors in 2021. Karol confirmed their romance in an interview with Rolling Stonein August 2023 and they made their red carpet debut in May 2025 before reportedly splitting later in the year.

During an appearance on Call Her Daddy in April 2026, however, she opened up about being single and focusing on herself.
"I'm done for a while," she said of dating. "Not in a bad way. I feel very special when I'm alone... I'm enjoying having fun, being in my process with the music. Thinking about how I want to be back on tour with my fans. I'm missing them. I'm thinking more about that relationship."
Karol was previously engaged to Anuel AA, before they announced in April 2021 that they had split.
The "Amargura" singer is the latest star to join Rosalía's confessional on tour. She's previously brought on Maggie Rogers, Marcello Hernández, Cara Delevingne, Bad Gyal, Lola Young and more.
