Karoline Leavitt could be heading from the White House briefing room to one of television’s most politically charged daytime programs after leaving the Trump administration.
The View has expressed interest in bringing the outgoing White House press secretary onto the ABC show, with producers considering her for a possible permanent role, according to the Daily Mail.
Leavitt, 29, announced earlier this month that she would leave her position at the end of August to spend more time with her newborn daughter, Viviana, and her 2-year-old son, Nicholas. The news follows ABC's David Muir fans fume 'it's going to end real bad for him' amid unhinged breaking news.

Her final day as press secretary is Thursday. Producers reportedly want Leavitt to initially appear as a guest after her departure, effectively giving both sides an opportunity to see how she fits alongside the show’s existing panel.
Formal negotiations have not started, according to the report, although ABC representatives have allegedly made their interest clear to people close to Leavitt.
A source familiar with The View, however, confirmed that Leavitt has been invited to appear as a guest.

President Donald Trump is reportedly supportive of the possibility despite his long-running feud with the program and several of its hosts.
Trump has previously called The View "stupid" and described its panelists as "really dumb people."

He has also personally attacked co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin. At an October 2024 rally, Trump called Hostin "dumber than Kamala," adding, "That is one dumb woman. She's a fool."
The potential pairing could produce particularly heated television.
Goldberg previously criticized Leavitt over comments about "wokeness" in the media, saying they "really p---ed me off."
Joy Behar also questioned how Leavitt obtained her White House role.

"I think that she's probably been put in there because according to Donald Trump, she's a 10," Behar said.
Leavitt’s departure comes shortly after the birth of her daughter. Trump publicly joked about her decision during a White House event Monday.
"She decided she loved her children more than she loved Donald Trump, I'm very upset about this," he said.
Trump has otherwise said he "totally understands and respects" Leavitt’s decision.
Leavitt is not expected to completely leave Trump’s political orbit. She told reporters last week that she plans to join Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC and is expected to continue advising the president.
