On June 13, the Princess of Wales attended the Trooping the Colour in London for King Charles' official birthday.

Kate Middleton, 44, took a prominent, unifying role at the event, being seated on the royal dais next to the monarch and Queen Consort at Horse Guards Parade.

Sitting adjacent to King Charles to watch the military display was widely interpreted by royal experts as a strong show of family unity and a testament to her ever-strengthening, central influence within the modern monarchy. This comes as the Princess of Wales' supposed "final straw' regarding Prince Harry has been revealed.

However, as Kate travelled in a carriage from the event to Buckingham Palace with her three children, George, 12, Charlotte, 11, and Louis, 8, members of the crowd booed them.

In a sign of utmost disrespect, members of the crowd could be heard booing and shouting "Not my King!" as the procession went past. The three children could clearly hear the jeering, as their smiles faltered, with George looking rather uncomfortable with the situation.

However, the family handled the situation with grace, continuing to wave at royal fans who were seen waving flags in the crowd. Kate also maintained her composure, but had a stern look on her face, as the boos rang out from the crowd.

A video of the moment went viral on social media, with fans praising Kate's strength during the difficult interaction.

"Kate Middleton looking angry and the kids looking completely uncomfortable and confused, getting booed during Trooping the Colour. If looks could kill. Princess Kate didn't like that," one person wrote on X.

Another then added, "Charlotte looks like she wants to cry, and Louis looks confused." Meanwhile, a third chimed in to say, "This is not okay."

"The children behaved with huge dignity when a tiny group of ignorant, brainwashed republicans started shouting," fumed a fourth. "The good thing is, they are in the tiniest of minorities, and the goodwill of the people is evident in the swelling throng of the crowds.

At the event, Kate and her children all wore matching ensembles as they paid tribute to Princess Diana.

The Princess of Wales wore a bespoke, impeccably tailored baby-blue coat dress featuring contrasting white piping by Catherine Walker, a favourite designer of her late mother-in-law. The sleek cut and soft palette directly channelled an almost identical 1987 archival look worn by Princess Diana.

Kate then paired the look with a wide-brimmed Phillip Treacy hat, Cassandra Goad pearl floral cluster earrings, and Princess Diana's iconic pearl bracelet.

Charlotte acted as her mother's "mini-me" in a complementary white gown stitched with subtle blue embroidery and a matching hair ribbon. Meanwhile, George and Louis wore blue ties to match their mother.
