The father of two explained his choices to PEOPLE

Lance Bass is feeling nostalgic about two underrated *NSYNC songs.

While speaking with PEOPLE in an exclusive conversation about his Bath & Body Works partnership, the 46-year-old former boy band member also highlighted *NSYNC tracks that don’t get enough love.

One song that Bass said was ā€œoverlookedā€ is ā€œIt Makes Me Ill,ā€ which is track 5 on the band’s No Strings Attached album from 2000.

ā€œThat was my favorite from No Strings Attached,ā€ Bass explained. ā€œI definitely fought for that to be a single, but we had other songs. We had some bangers from that album, so it was hard to pick a single.ā€

ā€œ ā€˜It Makes Me Ill’ just, to this day, is my favorite non-Christmas song that we’ve done,ā€ he continued, describing it as ā€œgreatā€ and ā€œfun.ā€

Bass added that the song is particularly beloved by men.

ā€œWell, it’s funny because it’s like every guy that likes *NSYNC, I can pretty much tell you 80% of the time they’re like, ā€˜It Makes Me Ill.’ It’s like the dudes’ favorite song of ours,ā€ the father of two said.

His other choice for underrated *NSYNC song is a holiday track.

ā€œOur acapella ā€˜O Holy Night,’ I think it’s overlooked,ā€ Bass said of the song from the group’s 1998 album, Home for Christmas.

He added, ā€œIt was my favorite recording that we’ve ever done — I’ve done. I love it because it just brings us back to how we started in 1995. Just no music, just our voices, and that’s how we started. That one, I just love.ā€
