Looking for details on upcoming drops and releases for the Pokemon Trading Card Game?

Despite an ongoing pricing correction, especially for ultra modern singles, interest remains strong for Pokemon cards. Just check the lines for “Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration” releases at brick-and-mortar stores such as Best Buy, Barnes & Noble and Target.

Then again, given how hard it is to compete against bots for online Pokemon orders, lining up early the old-school way is one of the surefire ways to score some product these days.

All that being said, it’s still possible to get stuff online with a little bit of luck and advanced knowhow. On that note, here’s a roundup of the latest information available for Pokemon TCG drops, releases and restocks.

Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration Oct. 2 launch and restock info

Following the Sept. 16 launch for Pokemon 30th Celebration products, Friday, Oct. 2 was pegged as the next big date for Pokemon products, including launches and restocks.

This day will see the launch of “Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration Booster Bundle” boxes at major retailers, which come with six booster packs each.

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price or MSRP for booster bundles is expected to be just under $27 but pricing can change depending on the retailer, with Best Buy and Walmart typically hewing close to MSRP at their physical stores, Target selling slightly above MSRP, and GameStop jacking up prices for Pokemon product like a car in need of a transmission replacement.

This day will also see the launch of new Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration Mini Tins. There will be 10 new mini tins, with designs featuring Pokemon such as Espeon, Umbreon, Mew, Mewtwo, Greninja and, of course, Pikachu. By the way, the tins can be combined to form two unique scenes — a forest one and a city one.

Each tin will come with:

2 Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration booster packs

1 sticker sheet

A Pokemon art card showing the art from that specific mini tin, which you can then combine into one of two unique scenes

A for Pokemon TCG Live code card

In addition to product launches, retailers are also expected to restock previously released products. Potential restocks include items for earlier sets such as Ascended Heroes and Destined Rivals.

Best Buy “Pokemon Trade and Play” event

Hot along the heels of Target’s recently concluded “Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration” family event, Best Buy is holding another special event — and it looks like it isn’t limited to children this time.

Best Buy’s “Pokemon Trade and Play” event is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at stores nationwide. Folks who take part will get a Pokemon trading kit, which can be used to “play, trade and share some of your favorite Pokemon with other Trainers,” according to Best Buy.

Best Buy didn’t provide additional details but it held a similar event in August. Back then, the trading kit came with a Chaos Rising Fun Pack, a Pikachu World Championships 2026 promo card, a Pokemon-themed folder and a sleeping Pikachu model kit.

When do Pokemon Center Delta Reign pre-orders start?

While the next Pokemon TCG set Delta Reign doesn’t launch till Nov. 6, the Pokemon Center typically takes pre-orders much earlier.

The Pokemon Center has not confirmed when it will start taking Delta Reign pre-orders. However, pre-orders are expected to start soon, so folks are being advised to start checking the Pokemon Center Delta Reign page daily early in the morning.

Expected Delta Reign pre-orders include Elite Trainer Boxes or ETBs, Booster Boxes and Booster Bundles.

What’s the next Japanese Pokemon TCG release?

Japan is currently in the midst of its own Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration frenzy.

The country has already seen the release of the 30th Celebration Futuristic Box Set and the Espeon and Umbreon Premium Deck Set.

Up next is the release of the 30th Celebration Card Set, which is the Japanese version of the Pokemon TCG First Partner Illustration Collection Series. The neat thing about the Japanese version is that each of the nine sets come with three guaranteed starter cards and they show the exact three starters that you get. That means no need to blindly hunt the cards to complete your set.

This also likely means pricing for each card won’t be as high as the US versions on the resale market but for collectors, being able to get the cards you want is a great quality-of-life feature. And if that means cheaper prices for the Japanese cards on the resale market, that’s also great news for collectors who don’t plan to sell cards and just want to complete the starter sets.

The MSRP, by the way, is 1,200 yen, which is less than $8 at current exchange rates.

As for upcoming sets, trademark filings by the Pokemon Company point to several new potential TCG offerings.

The first is “Hadou Seeker” or “Aura Seeker,” which also happens to be a move for Mega Lucario EX, so the Pokemon is expected to be featured in the set. The Hadou Seeker set is expected to release later this year

The next potential set is “MEGA X MEGA Parade.” This is expected to be a “high-class pack” similar to the MEGA Dream EX set that was released last year. The set will likely launch sometime in early 2027.

Both trademarks appear to tie in to the new “EX Star” mechanic that was teased by the official Pokemon Youtube channel in August.
