Lewis Hamilton celebrated his 2026 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix weekend the way only he can, burning tires through the streets of Tokyo in a classic Ferrari F40, with Kim Kardashian in the passenger seat.
Hamilton posted the reel on Instagram a week after the Japanese GP weekend, just a few hours ago, captioning it “HERE WE GO AGAIN [Japanese Flag emoji] TOKYO DRIFT VOL. III,” with cinematography credited to a photographer and filmmaker who goes by the username @13thwitness.

The clip, the third installment in his Tokyo Drift series, features night drives through the city, tire smoke from his drifts, a scooter ride, and a very clear shot of Kardashian laughing in the passenger seat of the F40, making this their most public appearance yet.
F1 Fans Rally Behind Kim Kardashian
The comments section told a story of its own. While some fans had mixed feelings about the pairing, the overwhelming response was in Kardashian’s favor, with the most liked visible comment on the reel summing it up bluntly: “Kim haters can,” followed by three wind-blowing emojis, racking up over 2,000 likes.
Others were more celebratory. One comment reading “Now THAT’S how an F1 champion does a Hard Launch!” drew 299 likes and counting, a double meaning that was hard to miss, referencing both the tire-burning burnouts in the reel and the internet term for publicly going official with a relationship.
Another fan said, “This goes insanely hard.” Meanwhile, others called out negative commenters directly, with one writing, “Some people here in the comments should be ashamed of themselves and actually [grow] tf up.”

The “Hope she gave you 5 stars” joke, a nod to the reel looking like the world’s most glamorous Uber ride, also made the rounds with 98 likes.

Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian have been linked since early 2026, spotted together at a New Year’s Eve party in Aspen, then in Paris, at Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, and most recently walking together in Tokyo during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend. Neither has officially confirmed a relationship, and the British icon has kept questions about his personal life firmly off the record.
But a reel with over 1.3 million likes, 270,000 shares, and Kim Kardashian visibly laughing in a Ferrari F40 on the streets of Tokyo does a lot of the talking on its own. As one fan put it in the comments: “Now THAT’S how an F1 champion does a Hard Launch.”
The F1 paddock, for its part, had already weighed in. During an official F1 Fill in the Blanks game, Haas driver Esteban Ocon nominated Hamilton as the driver most likely to star in a reality TV show, adding “Keeping Up With the Hamiltons” for good measure. The rest of the paddock laughed. Lando Norris followed up with a simple “IYKYK.”
At this point, it is hard to argue with any of them.
