She and her husband Jake Bongiovi welcomed their daughter through adoption last summer and announced the news on Instagram
The Stranger Things star shares rare glimpses of her family life, describing parenthood as a journey filled with love and joy
Millie Bobby Brown made sure to celebrate moms of all kinds this Mother's Day.
While chatting with Extraearlier this week, the 22-year-old actress, who welcomed her first baby via adoption last summer, shared why it was important for her to send a Mother's Day message to fellow moms who welcomed children through adoption.
"We're all mothers, and no matter if we're adoptive mothers, birth mothers, or you know, whatever, like a maternal figure," she said. "Everybody should be celebrated. Everybody is raising beautiful children, hopefully, and we're raising the next generation. So, of course, women should be celebrated in every way and every day."

In March, the Stranger Things alum shared a series of rare photos on her Instagram, which included a rare glimpse of her baby daughter. In one photo, Brown's little girl was pictured holding hands with one of her dogs, although her face was out of frame.
She appeared to be wearing a blue and yellow striped outfit, placing a hand on the dog. Other shots showed Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, posing together, as well as photos of the actress on vacation.

"Me and mii's," she wrote in her caption.
Brown and Bongiovi, 24, welcomed their daughter together via adoption, announcing the news on Instagram on Aug. 21.
"This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy," she wrote in the post. "And then there were 3."
Brown has been keeping her family life private, but when she spoke with British Vogue for their December cover story, she shared a little about life with her baby girl.
"It's been a beautiful, amazing journey — she's taught us so much already," the Damsel star told the outlet. "Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It's just endless joy."
