NASCAR has revealed the status of William Byron's No. 24 car for Hendrick Motorsports at the RD Center after Kansas Speedway in the 2026 Chase.

NASCAR took William Byron's No. 24 car to the R&D Center after the Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway. Following a strong run at Kansas, the sport conducted a closer inspection of Byron's vehicle; however, did the Hendrick Motorsports driver receive any penalties?

Byron's No. 24 car had no issues at the NASCAR R&D Center, which is the best result from further inspection. In previous years, NASCAR has found issues that cost a race team and driver over 100 points and more, so Byron receiving the green light is excellent news.

Going into Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Byron sits 12th in the points standings with a 158-point deficit to Kyle Larson. There are six races left in the NASCAR season. The driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports hopes to carry his momentum into Las Vegas, as the organization looks to capitalize on its speed in 2026.
