Nicole Scherzinger performs with Pussycat Dolls after suffering severe burn

Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger performed a concert with a large burn on her leg after being scalded by boiling water pre-show.

The 48-year-old suffered the burn, which covered one of her legs from her knee to her ankle, ahead of a gig with her pop band at the PSD Bank Dome in Dusseldorf, Germany, as part of their PCD Forever Tour.

In a post on her Instagram story, Scherzinger said: “Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set, but the show must go on.

“Thanks Dusseldorf for keeping me going.”

The US singer went on to perform at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome in the Netherlands on Sunday with Pussycat Dolls bandmates Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt.

The trio will perform in the UK on Tuesday at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena, before a gig at Dublin’s 3Arena on October 5, and a date at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on October 7, before the tour closes in London at The O2 on October 13.

It comes after the group cancelled all but one date of the US leg of their tour, reportedly due to poor ticket sales, performing at the WeHo Pride event in Los Angeles in June.

In an Instagram post, the group explained their decision: "When we announced the PCD Forever Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates."

The Pussycat Dolls tour is the first time the group has performed for a number of years since cancelling their last planned tour in 2022.

The group, who were originally a six-piece, have achieved eight UK top 10 singles including two number ones in “Don’t Cha” and “Stickwitu”, they have also achieved three UK top 10 albums.
