OHSAA softball scores, schedule for the 2026 East District tournament

OHSSA tournament time is here for softball teams.

Fans can follow East District results as games end throughout the first and second rounds, which begin May 11.

As games comes to a end, scores will be added and winners will be bolded.

Division III, Region 12 - Southeast/East 1 - Sectional/Districts

First round: Monday, May 11

(4) New Philadelphia 11, (5) Zanesville 1

The Quakers scored three runs in three separate innings as the New Phila offense got off to a hot start in tournament play. As a team, the Quakers totaled 11 hits with three going for extra bases they also stole five bases. On the mound, New Philadelphia's starter, Brylinne Smith, struck out seven Zanesville batters, surrendering one hit and one run.

District semifinals: Wednesday, May 13

First round: Thursday, May 14

(7) Washington C.H. Washington at (2) Thornville Sheridan, 5 p.m.

Division V, Region 19 - East 1- Sectionals/Districts

First round: Monday, May 11

(9) Rayland Buckeye Local 8, (12) Belmont Union Local 7

After two scoreless innings to start the game for both teams, the Buckeye offense got rolling in the third inning, scoring six runs. The Buckeyes' Karlie Lander drove in a game-high five runs and on the mound, she went seven innings, striking out two batters, allowing eight hits and six runs.

In a game that saw Sandy Valley commit four errors leading to all five Coshocton runs, the Cardinals were one of three teams in the East District to fall at home. Sandy Valley took the lead 2-1 in the fifth inning; however, in the following inning after an RBI single, hit by pitch and an RBI ground out Coshocton retook the lead and didn't look back. On the mound for the Cardinals, Bella Meade got the start going four innings, striking out three, allowing two hits and one run. On the other side of the field, Coshocton starter Savannah Gambill got the win, logging seven innings, striking out nine batters and allowing seven hits.

District semifinals: Monday, May 18(all games at 5 p.m.)

(9) Rayland Buckeye Local at (1) Tuscarawas Valley

(10) Coshocton at (8) Barnesville

Division V, Region 19 - East 2- Sectionals/Districts

First round: Monday, May 11

(7) Uhrichsville Claymont 5, (4) Richmond Edison 4

It may have taken 10 innings, but Claymont has punched its ticket to the district semifinals. The Mustangs took an early 4-0 lead after two innings, but Edison responded with four runs of its own between the third and fourth innings. In the top of the tenth inning, Claymont loaded the bases after a single and two walks. After four straight balls Aubree Cottrell drew a walk bringing in the go ahead run. Edison with threaten in the bottom half, having bases loaded with two outs; however, a line out would end the game. Lexus Blair pitched all 10 innings for Claymont, striking out seven batters and allowing seven hits.

(5) Zanesville West Muskingum 4, (11) Fairless 1

West Muskingum held Fairless scoreless for the first five innings of play. As a team West Muskingum tailed 12 hits with three going for doubles. Three players had multi-hit games, with Daylee Foster leading all players with three hits. Fraylee Williams got the start in the circle for the Tornadoes, going seven innings, striking out three batters, allowing six hits and one run.

District semifinals: Monday, May 18(all games at 5 p.m.)

(7) Uhrichsville Claymont at (3) West Lafayette Ridgewood

(5) Zanesville West Muskingum at (2) Martins Ferry

Division VI, Region 24 - East 2- Sectionals/Districts

First round: Monday, May 11

(7) Crooksville 11, (4) Beverly Fort Fyre 0

Crooksville posted six runs in the first innings and never looked back, as Elyse Baker drove in four runs on three hits ending the game a single shy of the cycle. On the mound, Baker tossed five shutout innings, striking out six batters and allowing one hit on the day.

(1) Garaway 13, (10) Berlin Hiland 5

Garaway started its postseason run scoring multiple runs in five innings, as True Tango drove in five runs on four hits. She saw two of hits go for a triple and a homerun. As a team, the Pirates totaled eight extra base hits. Annabelle King started the game for Garaway, going seven innings, striking out 12 batters and surrendering three hits.

Second round: Wednesday, May 13(all games at 5 p.m.)

(7) Crooksville at (3) Shadyside

(9) Lore City Buckeye Trail at (6) Newcomerstown

Division VII, Region 26 - East 1- Sectionals/Districts

First round: Monday, May 11

(2) Strasburg 15, (9) Malvern 0

After three quick outs in the top half of the first, the Strasburg offense came to the plate, scoring seven runs after the first seven batters reached base to start the inning. Hallie Argabrite led all players with three hits and four RBIs. Miley Reifenschneider got the start for the Tigers, going four innings, striking out seven batters and allowing one hit and three total baserunners.

District semifinals: Tuesday, May 19(all games at 5 p.m.)

(8) Tuscarawas Central Catholic at (2) Strasburg

(6) New Matamoras Frontier at (5) Bridgeport

Division VII, Region 26 - East 2- Sectionals/Districts

First round: Monday, May 11

(3) Hannibal River 13, (7) Toronto 0

Behind multi RBI games from Ava Wohnhas (4) and Cyla Jeffers (3), Hannibal River scored all 13 runs in the first two innings of the game. On the mound, Wohnhas struck out five batters over five innings.

District semifinals: Tuesday, May 19(all games at 5 p.m.)
