According to a new report, Princess Diana‘s views on Piers Morgan have resurfaced amid her brother‘s memoir dispute. Charles Spencer‘s “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister” was intended as a tribute ahead of her 30th death anniversary. However, the book is now mired in controversy over its claims about King Charles and the British Royal Family.

Princess Diana reportedly called Piers Morgan a “jerk” in private. The reported claim contrasts with the English broadcaster’s fond recollection of a memorable lunch at Kensington Palace.
The late Princess had invited Morgan to lunch while he was serving as a newspaper editor. The television personality called it the “most extraordinary meal” of his life. His account was that the former Princess of Wales opened up about “everything in her life.”
That said, Darren McGrady, Diana’s former personal chef who also cooked for the Royal Family, has reportedly shared a different perspective, as he offered fresh insights into what the late royal really thought of her lunch guest.

An individual familiar with Diana’s dynamic with the press told RadarOnline.com, “Diana could be extraordinarily charming with journalists while simultaneously having very strong private opinions about them.”
The source reportedly added that she knew how the newspaper industry worked, maintained close ties with editors, and understood the value those connections could offer. However, that did not necessarily mean she was fond of everyone she interacted with. McGrady’s account was clear and direct. According to reports, he stated, “Princess Diana called him a jerk.”
The old memory has re-emerged as Morgan is caught in a growing feud with Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, over his memoir. The Earl wrongly alleged that the journalist played a role in publishing invasive photos of the late Princess working out in a leotard at a gym. While Spencer has issued an apology, Morgan stated he will still sue him and his publisher, Penguin.
