The 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie admits that she is still figuring out ways to balance her professional pursuits with her personal life. Bader says it's crucial that whoever she dates is "on board with what I'm up to."

"Career is number one for me. But I am on my dating journey at 31 years old. So we're trying," the Fangirl founder says. "We're dating, and I'm very much single, and we'll see what happens."

Bader emphasizes how "fun" it's been to share that part of her life with her online community. Her chorus of followers offers encouragement, and they even step in to push Bader in the right direction if she shows some unwarranted hesitancy before going out.

"I want to cancel dates and my followers will be like, 'You're not allowed.' So I think I need that," the content creator explains.

As for the person who sent her a message before she walked down the carpet, Bader clarifies, "He's a very nice man." And even though her schedule is packed right now as she realizes her longtime dream to pose for Sports Illustrated, she playfully addressed him while speaking to PEOPLE: "I'd like to see you another time," adds Bader.

She also elaborated on how much it means to be named one of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's 2026 Rookies of the Year during the launch event held in New York City. She tells PEOPLE that the opportunity came at the "perfect time" in her life, since she's currently in "the best place" she's ever been in with her body, both physically and mentally.

"Which I think is really hard, especially when you've gone through an eating disorder," she notes. "It shows that timing is meant to be."
