Ruby Rose is recovering after suffering “multiple” broken ribs after a freak accident at home.
On Tuesday, June 30, the Australian model and actress, 40, shared a video on Threads of herself slipping into her swimming pool, which she said left her with two broken ribs.
In the clip, Rose is holding what appears to be a hose while walking around the edge of an outdoor pool. She then loses her footing, slams into the adjacent wall, and falls into the water. Finally, she swims away, holding her chest in pain.
“Please come and take me out. I brought this upon myself,” Rose wrote in the caption.
“...Landed perfectly on the right side of my ribs. Breaking the bottom two," the Orange Is the New Black star continued, adding that she is having to “breathe into a machine” after the accident.

Rose shared on Instagram that she was hospitalized after the accident, per Nine News.
“RIP to my ribs and to the rest of my summer. They are broken, multiple 🤣,” she wrote over the clip, which was accompanied by the 1990 song “There She Goes” by The La's. “Straight to hospital, did not pass go or collect 200 dollars."

She added, “I've just broken two ribs, falling into my own pool backwards, 🤣 and you couldn't pay me to put a bra on, let alone stand up.”

In another Threads post, Rose reflected on the time she broke her ribs in 2019 while filming the TV series Batwoman.
“I'm sorry, but what in the f–-king dissociation and self-abandonment did I do to return to work on Batwoman the day after breaking my rib and neck?” she wrote. “My rib was killing me!! I couldn't feel my legs or hands; I was in a batsuit!”
Rose starred as Bruce Wayne's cousin, Kate Kane, in the series before quitting the show in 2020.
The Dirty Angels star also asked her followers to “send good book and show recommendations” as she continues her long recovery. “This is going to take many weeks 😭,” she added.
PEOPLE has reached out to Rose's representative for comment but didn't immediately receive a response.
