The former New York City mayor and former attorney for President Donald Trump returned to his show,The Rudy Giuliani Show, on LindellTV on Wednesday, May 11, marking his first public broadcast appearance since being hospitalized earlier this month.
“I'm in the middle of making a very, very full and complete recovery,” Giuliani, 81, said during the opening minutes of the broadcast.
“I feel 100 percent, but I'm probably not,” he continued. “I still am recovering from what was a pretty serious bout of viral pneumonia.”
Giuliani also thanked "everyone who sent me prayers and good will," and mentioned that Trump called him after he became ill.

After his LindellTV show ended, Giuliani livestreamed a new episode of America's Mayor Liveon his YouTube channel.
Giuliani was hospitalized on Sunday, May 3. According to previous statements from his spokesperson, Ted Goodman, a priest visited Giuliani on Monday, May 4, and performed last rites. By Wednesday, May 6, Giuliani had been transferred out of the ICU.
As previously reported by PEOPLE, Giuliani's attorney, Joseph Cammarata, later shared an update in a video posted to X, saying the former mayor was improving and “on his way to making a recovery.”

“He's making great progress each and every day,” Cammarata said on May 8. “The American people should know he believes in the power of prayer, and he feels the prayer and the love that's being projected toward him from his supporters.”
Cammarata said Giuliani had been hospitalized with metapneumovirus, a respiratory virus that became “life-threatening” because of the politician's preexisting 9/11-related illnesses, including restrictive airway disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
According to Cammarata, Giuliani has experienced lasting health complications connected to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Giuliani served as mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001, including during the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
Earlier this month, a source close to the Trump administration told PEOPLE that Giuliani's health had become a concern to those around him. “He isn't in good shape,” the source said at the time.
Days later, Goodman shared another update, saying Giuliani “is the same fighter he's always been, and he's winning this fight.”

Giuliani's recent health scare follows injuries he suffered in a car accident in August 2025. According to a previous statement from his head of security, Michael Ragusa, Giuliani had stopped to assist a woman involved in a domestic violence incident before his vehicle was struck from behind on the highway.
The former mayor was hospitalized with a fractured thoracic vertebra, along with multiple lacerations, contusions and injuries to his left arm and lower leg. The following month, he appeared at a 9/11 memorial service in a wheelchair while wearing a full chest brace.
