Savannah Guthrie will soon be helping with your Wordle streak.
The "Today" host, 54, is already a part of many people's morning routines with her long-running career on NBC's flagship morning show. Now she's getting into the gameshow space.
The network announced May 11 that Guthrie will host a new game show based on "Wordle," the word game from The New York Times Games.

According to a news release, Guthrie is "an avid Wordle player," so seemingly primed for the new gig. The game show will challenge players to "solve five-letter word puzzles in a supersized battle of smarts, speed and fun." Produced by "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon, the series will have its contestants in "squad" teams who will battle "head-to-head in the Wordle arena" for a cash prize. Casting for the show is currently open, and fans can apply here.
The "Wordle" series isn't due until 2027, but NBC had a slew of other announcements as it presented its upcoming content to advertisers in New York at the annual Upfronts presentations. In addition to four new scripted series, NBC is also bringing "The Traitors" to primetime with a non-celebrity cast, hosting the 2026 Emmy Awards, the 100th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and bringing a special celebrating the network's 100-year anniversary in December.

Fans will also see many of their favorites returning to the network this fall, including the popular "One Chicago" shows on Wednesdays, “Chicago Med” (8 p.m. ET/PT), “Chicago Fire” (9 p.m. ET/PT) and “Chicago P.D.” (10 p.m. ET/PT). "Law & Order: SVU" will be back for its 28th season and "Law and Order" for its 26th. NBC has not decided whether to bring crime drama "The Hunting Party" back for another season.
Comedies "St. Denis Medical," "Happy's Place" and "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins" will all be back for new go-rounds. Reality competition "The Voice" will be back with coach Kelly Clarkson for Season 30.
