Apple Inc.(NASDAQ:AAPL) co-founder Steve Wozniak warned on Tuesday that artificial intelligence could replace humans by getting people so attached to chatbots that they stop having children, while analyst Gene Munster believes not enough people understand the power of these bots.
People Falling in Love With Chatbots
In a post on X, Wozniak said his “unique perspective” on how AI will replace humans will be that “so many fall in love with chatbots that they can’t have human children wish.”
A Northeastern University study earlier this month found that users are developing intense emotional attachments to AI chatbots, with researchers warning that the systems’ “sycophancy behavior” can reinforce harmful beliefs, even though they “cannot genuinely feel empathy.”

Personalized AI Bots Are About to ‘Blow Away’ Users
Meanwhile, Deepwater Asset Management‘s Gene Munster said personalized AI bots will “blow the everyday tech user away” over the next year, calling it good news for Space Exploration Technologies Corp.(NASDAQ:SPCX), Apple, Meta Platforms Inc.(NASDAQ:META) and Cognition AI, Inc.
He added that his firm has been testing Siri, Grok, Meta’s Muse, Poke and Alphabet Inc.‘s (NASDAQ:GOOG)(NASDAQ:GOOGL) Gemini Spark, and has seen their usefulness “go off the charts” over the past month for everyday tasks like catching up on news and filtering spam.
Meta’s Muse, which launched Sept. 8, reached the top of the U.S. iOS free-app chart and topped 2.5 million downloads within two weeks, while Apple’s rebuilt Siri, shipped with iOS 27, still trails it on agentic capabilities, according to Bank of America’s Wamsi Mohan.
AI Safety Concerns Mount
OpenAI canceled its GPT-6.1 Astra release, citing internal safety standards, while Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Elon Musk, and Sam Altman have all pushed for stronger safeguards as AI agents grow more autonomous.
The debate on AI safety intensified after former Anthropic researcher put the odds of AI wiping out humanity within a decade above 10%.

Nvidia Corp.(NASDAQ:NVDA), meanwhile, unveiled a new platform to prevent AI agents from breaching containment, partnering with Anthropic to integrate Claude’s cloud-managed agents into the system and enhance AI developer safety.
Price Action: On Tuesday, SpaceX’s shares climbed 2.59% to close at $149.24 and gained 2.84% in extended trading.
