Sylvester Stallone Confesses One Of His ‘Regrets’ With Marriage To Jennifer Flavin

Sylvester Stallone reflected on one of his regrets about his 29-year marriage to former model Jennifer Flavin in a new interview on CBS Sunday Morning at 92NY.
“I wish I’d married my wife about eight years earlier,” Stallone, 80, confessed during the Sep. 27 interview, according to multipleoutlets. “I was like such an idiot, procrastinating. Because you know, I’m still actually learning about relationships that bad.”

The “Rocky” star made the remark about Flavin, 58, after host Tracy Smith asked him whether he ever wishes he could have a “do-over” in his life.
“So I regret that. And I’m sorry, baby,” Stallone added.
Stallone went on to say that he’ll “never be as good” as Flavin, adding, “She’s just magnificent, has kept me alive.”
“And it took me so long to turn my head around and go, ‘Oh, you have the greatest gift in the world right here, and you’re looking out there, you fool!’” he continued.

Flavin and Stallone’s romance first kicked off after they coincidentally met at a restaurant in West Hollywood, California in 1988. Stallone was 42 years old at the time, while Flavin was 19. The couple, who share daughters, Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet, later wed in 1997.

Stallone and Flavin’s marriage hit a brief rough patch after she filed for divorce in August 2022. They reconciled a month later.

Before marrying Flavin, Stallone had been married to Brigitte Nielsen from 1985–1987 and Sasha Czack from 1974–1985.
Stallone credited Flavin for teaching him how to love.

“It’s a habit, you know, learning to love, a really wonderful habit,” he said. “And with my wife, Jennifer, it’s finally come to fruition. It took about 60 years, but we got there.”
During an episode of the reality TV show “The Family Stallone” in May 2023, Stallone recalled what it felt like to encounter Flavin decades ago.
“I remember vividly the first time I met Jennifer,” Stallone said. “I was in this dark restaurant, a few people. She came in and, whoa! Something happened. I just felt, like, this jolt, like — ‘Oh, did we just have a minor earthquake or something?’”
Likewise, Flavin shared, “We just hit it off, it was crazy. We were inseparable all night.”
