The couple announced their Dec. 17 engagement in an Instagram post on Dec. 24

Zane Powell and Evie Ferris of the beloved kids music group The Wiggles are engaged.
Powell and Ferris announced that they got engaged on Dec. 17 in a Dec. 24 joint Instagram post. "Best Christmas yet!!," the couple shared in the caption.
The carousel of photos included a snap of Powell getting down on one knee to pop the question to Ferris at Sydney's Balmoral Beach. In the photo, Ferris excitedly clasped her hands over her face as Powell presented her with a ring in the waterfront proposal.
In another snap, the couple can be seen embracing with big smiles as Powell shows off her new jewelry, seemingly a round solitaire diamond ring.
Their Wiggles bandmates congratulated the newly engaged couple in the comments. "The most gorgeous couple," wrote Caterina Mete.
"YOU TWO!!!! ❤️ So happy for you both ✨✨ love you guys so much!! 😭🥹😭🥹," wrote fellow The Wiggles member Tsehay Hawkins.
"Soooo beautiful," wrote The Wiggles' Lachlan Gillespie. "Congratulations you are both such beautiful people."
In an Instagram reel, Powell offered a hilarious behind-the-scenes look into the proposal, which wasn't without its snafus. He shared that he planned a "photo shoot" for Ferris, and was almost late to arrive for the proposal after his Uber driver canceled.
Once he got there, Powell can be seen in the video running toward Ferris and psyching himself up for the big proposal.
After the photographer captured a few snaps, Powell ran up behind his soon-to-be bride, greeted her with a kiss, and led her to a sunny spot on the beach before dropping to one knee to pop the question.

Formed in Australia in 1991, The Wiggles have been a staple of children's entertainment for decades. Anthony Field is currently the only original member still in the band, joined by Powell, Ferris, Gillespie, Hawkins, Mete, Simon Price, John Pearce, and Lucia Field.
Powell officially joined The Wiggles in 2023, while Ferris first appeared in the group's 2021 video "We're All Fruit Salad!"
Before joining The Wiggles, Ferris was trained as a ballet dancer, performing with The Australian Ballet. Powell, meanwhile, worked as a dancer in a number of theatrical productions, including Mamma Mia! and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
He also appeared in Baz Lurhmann's 2022 film Elvis.
