Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the London premiere of Tom Cruise‘s Digger last week. The Prince and Princess of Wales shared some sweet moments with the Hollywood icon. Now, at the Los Angeles premiere of his film, Cruise recalled his memorable time with the royal couple. The actor also had two special words for William and Kate, which left netizens in awe of him.
Tom Cruise praises Kate Middleton and Prince William during Digger premiere
At the red carpet of Digger in LA, Tom Cruise talked about spending time with Kate Middleton and Prince William at the London premiere of the film. “I have so much respect for them,” he told Extra. The Top Gun star continued, “You know, they’re amazing people, and how dedicated they are to their country and also what they give to the world.” He added, “They’re just beautiful people and fun, very funny.”
The actor also showered praise on Kate. “She’s got a great sense, incredible sense of humor. I mean, obviously, very intelligent and fun,” Cruise said. The award-winning actor continued, “They’re so charismatic and so elegant. That dress that she was wearing… stunning.”

He added, “You know, they were shocked and surprised and wrote me later, ‘Can’t stop thinking about the movie’. It was, it was really beautiful.” Cruise also commented that “William did well” by marrying Kate. “Way to go, smart. Smart choice. Yeah, I gotta give it to William. Way to go. Smart choice,” he added.
Netizens also reacted to Cruise’s warm praise for the royal pair. “Every man KNOWS a great woman when he sees or meets one. Princess Catherine is the Creme de la Creme and Tom rightly says, Good Choice, Smart Choice to Prince William. Prince William married up!” one commented.
