Tyra Banks shared a series of sexy lingerie snaps she said were taken by her mom
The supermodel posted an accompanying Substack post about “getting her sexy back”
“Because now I look at old pictures of myself and it’s almost like I put my sexy in a museum,” Banks wrote on Substack
Tyra Banks brings supermodel energy to every shoot, no matter who’s behind the lens.
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, the model and TV personality, 52, shared a series of lingerie snaps to Instagram that she says were taken by her mom.
In two of the images, Banks appears to be in a bedroom and wears a black bra with a white button-down shirt over top. She faces the camera with her hand in her long blonde hair in one photo, and leans her chin up toward the ceiling in the other. The last photo shows Banks in motion as she runs away from the camera.
“MY MOM TOOK THESE,” she captioned the post. “New Substack is live. It’s about getting my sexy back.”
Fans hyped up the former America’s Next Top Modelhost in the Instagram comments.
“Frame 1 is a Tyra signature face card 🔥” one user wrote, while another added, “Tyra got her Groove back ❤️.”
A third wrote, “Ok face card 🔥.”

In Banks’ Substack post “I Put My Sexy In a Museum,” she reflected on the different eras of her career and recalls losing her spark during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“A shower became less of a daily requirement and more of an event that needed to be scheduled,” she wrote of the time. “And somewhere in all of that, something happened. Because now I look at old pictures of myself and it’s almost like I put my sexy in a museum.”
Banks has “been wondering about the girl in the museum” lately, she wrote.
“Because I know she’s not actually all the way gone,” she wrote. “She’s in there. Deep in there.”
Ultimately, Banks says, she’s learned to embrace the new version of herself.
“I kinda like this squishier mama body,” she wrote. “There’s something cozy about this body. Something very Mama-couture about it. And I don’t mean that in some inspirational, embrace-your-curves, love-every-inch-of-yourself way because as I said, I will corset the f- out of this situation when necessary.”
