Tyrrell Hatton makes feelings clear on reunion with LIV Golf stars

Tyrrell Hatton expressed interest in watching his LIV Golf colleagues compete at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Hatton is one of several LIV Golf players whose futures remain uncertain following the former Saudi-backed tour's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing; LIV has not yet announced a 10-event calendar for the 2027 season.
The organization reported having between $100 million and $500 million in assets and $500 million to $1 billion in liabilities, with substantial amounts owed to two-time major champion Jon Rahm and YouTube personality Bryson DeChambeau. LIV Golf Indianapolis served as the circuit's final tournament of 2026, after the organization was compelled to scrap its season-ending event in Michigan. Numerous players have since packed their schedules with DP World Tour competitions, with many aspiring to secure or reclaim a PGA Tour card eventually.
Lee Westwood is making his first appearance at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship since 2019, while Ian Poulter and Bubba Watson are also participating.

"Those guys have had amazing careers," Hatton said. "It's good to see them playing this week. Obviously, they have not played that much over the last four or five years for various reasons, but I think of what they have achieved and the amount of tournaments they have played on the DP World Tour."

When questioned about any developments regarding LIV Golf 2.0, Hatton offered little insight. "There's nothing I can add on to that," Hatton said.
When questioned about whether he was anxiously awaiting news, the Englishman indicated he's been concentrating on his own performance and preparation.
"As I said at the British Masters, I've got tournaments on the DP World Tour here for this week, next week, Madrid and then Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi," said Hatton. "So I've got enough to get ready for and enough people in the background doing what they need to do and that's all there is to it."
Both Rahm and Hatton have found it difficult to clarify their plans since LIV Golf moved to its revised structure, following CEO Scott O'Neil's announcement that players would receive ownership stakes in the organization.
"No, nothing's changed," said Rahm at the BMW PGA Championship. "There's a long legal process they have to go through before a lot of things fall into place. I really can't give you an answer right now.
"I'm very close to expecting our fourth. Hopefully playing good this week, and at the end of the year, whether we play in Abu Dhabi, Dubai or elsewhere, so until this current season is done, I really won't be able to give you an answer."
Lucas Herbert's representative has already contacted the PGA Tour about a possible comeback.
