Some Wheel of Fortune fans saw a different ending to Thursday’s episode than what was supposed to be shown. Summer Moore made it to the Bonus Round, but some fans on the West Coast seemingly saw another contestant solving the puzzle when the show came back from commercial.

Moore lost the Bonus Round after not solving “Practicing Violin.” She would have taken home $86,000, but instead won $36,785. Some fans did not see that, though.

“West Coast Feed for October 15th…” a Reddit user wrote on October 15. “Something weird in the West Coast feed tonight.”

“Very weird, Summer was crushing it and was hoping to see her final Spin. What was the reason???” another replied.

On another post, a fan said, “I’m on the West Coast, and Summer’s final Wheel spin wasn’t even aired.” A fan replied to that and said that it cut to Wednesday’s final puzzle. “Weird,” they said.

“Same! So annoying what just happened!” a Reddit user replied.

“I’m actually pissed,” another said.

“Seattle got the wrong final contestant! It aired the ending of last night’s episode instead of tonight’s!” one fan explained. Those fans would once again see Mike Gonzalez win $70,850.

“Messed up! Justice for Summer,” a fan replied.

The same thing happened with Jeopardy! a few weeks ago, which is also a syndicated game show produced by Sony. Except it was Midwest viewers instead of West Coast.

The Season 43 premiere saw Matthew Riggle, from Madison, Alabama, returning for his third game. The first round played out normal for everyone, but when the show returned from commercial for Double Jeopardy, the game show aired a completely different episode with different contestants in different parts of the country.

“Contestants changed? 9/14/26. I’m watching Jeopardy! and the contestants changed after the Jeopardy round. The champion is Jonathan instead of Matt. Did this happen for anyone else?” a Reddit user asked.

It seemed to be only a problem in the Detroit, Michigan, area. But, according to fans, the problem seemed to sort itself out with Final Jeopardy. For those who missed it, Riggle was behind in DJ after going all in on a Daily Double and getting it wrong, but a risky final wager and incorrect answers from all three contestants put him back on top.

Jeopardy! reaired the episode for the areas of the country that missed it. It is not clear if Wheel of Fortune will do the same.
