Céline Dion kicked off her 26-night Paris Residency with a wide setlist of 29 songs on September 12. The Canadian songstress returned to the stage after six years at the Plénitude Arena. She performed in front of a crowd of about 30,000 people for a duration of two hours and thirty minutes. Her comeback show was attended by names like Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.

Céline Dion got emotional on stage at Paris Residency
The 58-year-old star became emotional with her comeback after a 6-year break due to illness. She thanked her fans, saying their love gave her the strength to return. Dion got teary-eyed over her sold-out comeback show.

“I made a promise to come back... I am everything I am because you loved me,” Celine Dion said.
For those unversed, Dion was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder, Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS). Céline shared her diagnosis in 2022. Later, Celine Dion also shared that she was reportedly facing some symptoms of her disorder since 2008.
Elsewhere at the concert, she also said:
“I have to admit, though, that the road was rocky. The journey was longer than expected, with unplanned stops along the way. But I hung in there,” said Dion.
Two years back, Céline Dion performed Edith Piaf's 'L'hymne à l'amour' at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
